"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you."
1 Peter 23-26

We are born again by the Word of God.
The Word of God is the seed that makes that new birth possible and gets people saved.
In the Parable of the sower found in three of the four Gospels, The seed is the Word of God.

The Bible is the Word of God, it was in the beginning with God and it was God.

Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh.

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
John 1.14

The words of God are spirit and they are life and they bring Salvation.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Romans 10.17

"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise."
Ephesians 1.13

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
Romans 1.16

You can't separate The Word of God with salvation, for the Word of God brings salvation.
You can not be saved without the Word of God.

You can not believe on Christ without hearing of Christ.

We are saved by Grace through Faith alone in The Lord Jesus Christ.
Faith grants access into Grace and Faith comes from hearing The Word of God.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Hebrews 4.12

If somebody tries to paraphrase the Gospel in their own words it has to be in tandem with
scripture, You can not be saved without the Word of God.

You could hear the Word of God and then later on someone could explain the Gospel to you in their own words, but the Word of God must have been heard at some point in order for salvation to take place as it is the seed of new life.

It doesn't have to be the whole Bible, it could just be one verse, but hearing the Word of God is the essential seed needed for salvation.

Here are some scriptures for you to meditate on:

"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
John 3.15-18

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
John 3.36

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
John 5.24

"And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."
John 6.40

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."
John 6.47

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live"
John 11.25

"To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins."
Acts 10.43

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
Acts 16.31

"Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them" that believe: for there is no difference"
Romans 3.22

"To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."
Romans 3.26

"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."
Romans 3.28

"For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness."
Romans 4.3

"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."
Romans 10.4

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10.9

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Galatians 2.16

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9

"Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you."
John 15.3
